Vienna, 9 December 2010. Volker Riebel has been appointed the new Chairman of
the Executive Board of conwert Immobilien Invest SE based on a resolution
adopted by the Administrative Board today, Thursday. As of 1 January 2011,
Riebel, 55, who holds a doctorate in economics, will take over this function
from Johann Kowar and will thus be responsible for the areas of Strategy, Legal
Matters, Investor Relations, Corporate Governance/Compliance, Personnel, IT,
Organisation and Purchasing.

Volker Riebel looks back on 25 years of management experience in the property
industry, especially in restructuring and property services. With the assumption
of the function of the CEO at conwert, Mr. Riebel is resigning from conwert´s
Administrative Board and his function as the CEO of GEWOBA Aktiengesellschaft
Wohnen und Bauen, Bremen. Prior to joining GEWOBA, Mr. Riebel was the CEO of
Deutsche Annington Immobilien GmbH, Düsseldorf, from 2001 to 2006.
