Asslar, November 18, 2010. Today, Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG, Asslar, (ISIN:
DE0006916604) sold via the stock exchange all of its 456,352 own shares the
company held as treasury shares. The average price per share achieved was EUR
84,43.

Pfeiffer Vacuum receives gross proceeds of approximately EUR 38.5 million which
shall be used to partially refinance the intended acquisition of
Alcatel-Lucent´s Vacuum Technology Unit ("Adixen") as announced on November 3,
2010.
