Walther Wever appointed new chairman of the CURANUM AG management board

In its meeting today, the supervisory board of CURANUM AG, Munich, has appointed
Mr. Walther Wever (54) as management board member and chairman of the management
board (CEO), effective as from October 1, 2010. Following the dismissal of Mr.
Bernd Rothe on September 3, 2010, Mr. Wever will hold this position on an
interim basis up to June 30, 2011.
Walther Wever was previously active as CFO of VARTA AG and held the position of
management board chairman of VARTA Automotive AG up to 2009. His main areas of
responsibility at Curanum include corporate development and strategy, mergers
and acquisitions as well as investor relations.
With the appointment of Mr. Walther Wever as CEO, the Curanum AG management
board comprises three members again, with Ms. Judith Barth active as CFO and Ms.
Sabine Merazzi-Weirich holding the position of COO.
