Berlin, August 27, 2010. Simone Prüfer, CFO of SOLON SE, has decided to step
down from the Management Board effective August 31, 2010 for personal reasons.
The Supervisory Board will take this occasion to restructure the Management
Board both in terms of members and responsibilities. Chief Executive Officer
Stefan Säuberlich will take on the CFO's responsibilities in the future.

Ms. Prüfer joined SOLON in 2006, initially working in the Treasury department.
She became a member of the Management Board in July 2008 and was responsible for
Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, and Legal. In this role, Ms. Prüfer played a
significant part in successfully reorganizing the Group's financing and
achieving key objectives in the restructuring program launched last year. The
Supervisory Board would like to thank Ms. Prüfer for her strong commitment and
outstanding work as CFO at SOLON SE.
