Given the 9-month figures and a current outlook
based on the October figures stock listed medical device manufacturer W.O.M.
WORLD OF MEDICINE AG anticipates that this year`s development after the first
nine months will also be carried forward in the fourth quarter 2009. This
implies a reduction in sales for the year 2009 as a whole of approximately 15%,
with a return on sales before taxes of 3%. This takes into account the
weakening of the US dollar. The previous outlook expected sales at the level as
2008 and a return on sales before taxes of 6%.

Especially US sales were lower than expected. In the end of the 3rd quarter
2009, a slight increase in the volume of orders booked indicates tentative
signs of recovery in the region. However, the sustainability of these signs and
the pace at which a potential shift in trends is established by WORLD OF
MEDICINE`s sales are still placed in question.
