Kommunalkredit Austria AG today published its financial results as of 31
December 2008.

Considering a surety issued by the republic of Austria in favour of
Kommunalkredit Austria AG for EUR 1,207.9 mln. the consolidated financial result
has been EUR -1.450 mln. This result includes unrealized negative results caused
by the valuation of the CDS- and security-portfolio in the amount of EUR 1.966,8
mln.

Regarding Kommunalkredit Austria AG the result 2008 according to Austrian GAP
has been EUR -345,8 mln.
Regarding Kommunalkredit International Bank ltd., Cyprus, the result 2008 has
been EUR -676 mln.
The results of both companies are included in the consolidated financial result.

More details concerning the consolidated financial results of Kommunalkredit
Austria will be published today, 11 a.m., MET, in the course of a press
conference.
