Changes at Management Board of Versatel AG
Düsseldorf, 20 April 2009 - The Supervisory Board of Versatel AG today announces
the appointment of Alain D. Bandle as new Chief Executive Officer, with effect
from 9 May 2009. Alain D. Bandle, previously Vice President and General Manager
Public Segment Europe at Dell, has extensive international experience, having
held leading management positions at companies in the IT, telecommunication,
service and consumer goods industries.
The Supervisory Board and Peer Knauer agreed that he will be relieved from his
duties as acting CEO of Versatel AG with immediate effect. The premature
termination of his contract shall occur by mutual agreement.
For the interim period, Max Padberg, Chief Financial Officer of Versatel AG,
will assume the responsibilities of the CEO until 9 May 2009.
Alain D. Bandle will take over the duties of Peer Knauer that also include the
responsibilities for the private customer segment. The responsibilities of the
other Board members remain unchanged.
