Press Conference: Reinventing Retirement: Reshaping Health & Financial Security for the EU 27 and Eastern Europe

Wien (OTS) - American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and
the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research will present the outcome of last week‘s High-Level Expert and Policy-Makers Conference titled "Reinventing Retirement".

The Conference dealt in particular with the issue of reshaping health and financial security as a consequence of population ageing in countries of Eastern Europe, especially the new Member States of the European Union, and its socio-economic consequences for Western Europe. Participating organisations were the World Bank, the United Nations, the International Labour Organisation, the European Commission, Erste Group Bank, BMSK, OECD Paris, Ministries of Social Affairs of several European Countries, IHS, WIFO, WIIW, Help Age International and others.
