Berlin, August 29, 2003 - InfoGenie Europe AG (ISIN: DE 000 7472060)
succeeded in pulling off a trend reversal, generating a Group profit
for the first time in the second quarter of 2003. The surplus for the
period in question came to EUR 107,000 (previous quarter: -EUR
603,000). In addition to tax effects, the new subsidiaries, InfoGenie
Global GmbH and Crosskirk S.L. made a substantial contribution toward
this positive result. Sales revenues in Q2 2003 were in the region
of EUR 2.8 million, up 261% year-on-year. Adjusted for the new
subsidiaries, the growth rate amounted to 7%, to reach EUR 815,000
(previous year: EUR 761.000).

For the full first semester, Group revenues rose to approx. EUR 3.9
k, representing an increase of 140% year-on-year. Excluding the new
subsidiaries, revenues (at EUR 1.8 million) were close to 11% higher
year-on-year.

For the financial year as a whole, the company expects to record a
substantial increase in revenues and to move into positive earnings
territory for the first time. The extent to which the trend of the
particularly positive first semester can continue will depend on an
economic revitalization and on the changes to fundamental operating
conditions made by the regulatory authorities.
