The investment company EIC Electricity SA ("EIC") informs that it has
increased the valuation of its private equity portfolio retroactively
per December 31, 2002. The revaluation was based on information that
EIC has received from the companies it is invested in. As a result of
the revaluations, EIC’s Net Asset Value per share ("NAV") has
increased from 66.19 CHF to 67.10 CHF (+1.37%) per December 31, 2002.
EIC also informs that the company’s General Assembly will take place
on March 14, 2003. At the General Assembly, ordinary and
extraordinary items are scheduled. A group around Toff AG proposes a
reduction of the par value of the EIC shares.

EIC is listed on the Swiss Exchange (SWX) and on the Frankfurt
Securities Exchange (Bloomberg: EIC SW Equity / EIV GR Equity). The
