Zuteilungsprogramm für Lintec-Aktionäre.

Mit Abschluß des Konsortialvertrags ist der erste Meilen- stein
beim geplanten Börsengang der Lintec-Tochter RFI Elektronik GmbH aus
Mönchengladbach gesetzt: Mit der Bayerischen Landesbank Girozentrale
wurde jetzt ein entsprechendes Letter Of Engagement zur Begleitung
der künftigen RFI mobile technologies AG an die Börse unterzeichnet.

Die 1963 gegründete RFI ist seit über 10 Jahren im Segment Mobile
Business Computing tätig und hat sich in dieser Zeit zum
unumstrittenen europäischen Marktführer entwickelt. Das Unternehmen
(Umsatz / EBIT 2000e: 125 / 4,5 Mio. Euro) konzentriert sich vor
allem auf drei Geschäftsfelder Wired und Wireless Connectivity
(Stichwort BlueTooth), mobile Business- Lösungen sowie Life Cycle
Management. Bereits derzeit befindet sich das Unternehmen in
exzellenten Marktpositionen: PC-Cards unter dem RFI-Brand AnyCom
halten derzeit in Deutschland einen Marktanteil von 35%, Tendenz
steigend. Zudem ist RFI weltweit der einzige Anbieter, der
praxiserprobte und seriengefertigte BlueTooth-Module in großen
Stückzahlen liefern kann und liefert.

Über die RFI-Tochter Mobile Partners International Ltd. (MPI) mit
Sitz in London, an der 12 weitere europäische Unternehmen beteiligt
sind, besitzt die RFI einen europaweiten Vermarktungskanal für die
eigenen Produkte. Das be- trifft insbesondere das Notebook-Zubehör
unter dem RFI-Brand AnyCom, deren jüngste Entwicklung Bluetooth
fähige Bausteine für Notebooks und Drucker sind. Zugleich erhöht sich
durch die MPI die Marktmacht der beteiligten Unternehmen gegenüber
asiatischen und amerikanischen Herstellern.

Entsprechend der strategischen Shareholder-Value-Ausrichtung der
Konzernmutter werden Lintec-Aktionäre wieder am Erfolg des
RFI-Börsengangs beteiligt: So soll jeder Aktionär der Lintec Computer
AG ein attraktives Bezugsrecht für Aktien der künftigen RFI AG
erhalten; das exakte Bezugsverhältnis wird derzeit noch verhandelt.
Sobald weitere Details zum Börsengang feststehen, wird Lintec die

RFI Elektronik GmbH, the European market leader in mobile
computing, is going public. First mover in Bluetooth business
applications. Attractive allocation scheme for Lintec shareholders

Taucha, 12.09.00. The conclusion of the syndicate agreement sets
the first milestone for the forthcoming IPO of Mönchengladbach based
Lintec subsidiary RFI Elektronik GmbH. The central giro Institution
of Bayerische Landesbank (the regional bank of the Free State of
Bavaria) has signed a letter of engagement in which it commits itself
to accompany the future RFI mobile technologies AG on its way to the
stock exchange.

RFI was established in 1963 and has been active in the field of
mobile business computing for more than ten years now. Within that
period it has become the undisputed European market leader. RFI,
whose turnover / EBIT for the year 2000 is expected to total EUR 125
million / EUR 4.5 million respectively, particularly concentrates on
three business areas: wired and wireless connectivity (BlueTooth
being one of the keywords), mobile business solutions as well as
life-cycle management. The company holds an excellent market position
already now: PC cards sold under RFI's brand AnyCom have a market
share of 35 per cent and that trend is still rising. Moreover, RFI is
the only supplier worldwide that can deliver and does deliver large
numbers of BlueTooth modules that have been tested in practice and
are produced in series.

Via its London based subsidiary Mobile Partners International Ltd.
(MPI) that is co-owned by another 12 European companies RFI have the
use of a marketing channel for their own products throughout Europe.
This particularly applies to notebook accessories sold under RFI's
brand AnyCom the latest feature of which being Bluetooth capable
modules for notebooks and printers. At the same time, thanks to MPI,
the purchasing muscle of the participating companies increases with
respect to Asian and American manufacturers.

In accordance with the parent company's strategic
shareholder-value policy, Lintec shareholders will again participate
in the success of RFI's IPO; every shareholder in Lintec Computer AG
will be granted an attractive subscription privilege for shares in
the future RFI AG. The precise share entitlement is currently being
negotiated. Lintec will bring further details of the IPO to public
attention as soon as they emerge.
