hte To Collaborate With Chevron On Strategic Research=

Heidelberg (OTS) - hte GmbH today announced the
execution of a 5-year research agreement with Chevron Research and
Technology Company in which hte will develop combinatorial and high
throughput techniques for application to CRTC's process interests.
The agreement provides for minimum research payments to hte, together
with additional success incentives and licensing fees.

"Combinatorial and high throughput research methods have
revolutionized the new product discovery process in the
pharmaceutical industry," notes Dr. Gary M. Masada, CRTC's President.
"We have recognized the potential of this technology to transform
research in the oil industry as well, dramatically accelerating our
discovery and optimization of new catalysts for the processing of
natural gas, petroleum and petrochemicals. We have partnered with hte
because we believe they are on the leading edge of adapting this
technology for practical application in the field of heterogeneous
catalyst discovery."
