Top-down measures designed to promote sustainable food often run the risk of provoking resistance or unexpected problems. A transdisciplinary project under the auspices of BOKU University, Vienna, is now bringing practitioners and scientists together, seeking to develop jointly supported approaches to a sustainable supply of milk and beef in Austria.
