Wolf Theiss appoints six new partners
Vienna, 14 October 2025 – Wolf Theiss has announced the promotion and hiring of new partners, further strengthening its regional presence and legal expertise across Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (CEE/SEE).
The new partners are Norbert Bálint (Hungary), Johann Hwezda, Christopher Jünger (both Austria) and Marcin Rudnik (Poland) and Eva Stadler (Austria), who have each been promoted internally in recognition of their longstanding contribution to the firm’s success. In addition, Claudia Popescu will join Wolf Theiss as a partner in the Corporate/M&A team in Romania.
Norbert Bálint is a member of the Energy team in Budapest. He specialises in large construction projects and M&A transactions, with experience in renewable energy, concession agreements and electricity production. His practice also covers gas supply, tolling structures, IT, telecommunications and software industries. Before joining Wolf Theiss, Norbert worked at a Magic Circle law firm. Johann Hwezda is part of the Public Procurement team in Vienna. He focuses on procurement law, particularly on tender procedures for complex planning contracts, construction works and PPP projects. Before joining Wolf Theiss, Johann gained experience at two leading procurement law boutiques in Vienna. Christopher Jünger is a member of the Corporate/M&A team in Vienna. His work focuses on cross-border and domestic corporate reorganisations, private and public M&A transactions and a wide range of Austrian corporate law matters. He advises clients across various industries, with a particular focus on technology-driven businesses. "This milestone marks an exciting new chapter in my professional journey. To me, becoming a partner is both a privilege and a responsibility and I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me. Marcin Rudnik is a member of the Dispute Resolution, IP & TMT and Competition & Antitrust teams in Warsaw. With over 15 years of experience, he represents Polish and international clients in litigation and arbitration, focusing on construction, corporate, competition and unfair competition matters. He also advises on IT, IP and product liability disputes.
Eva Stadler has been a member of the Tax team in Vienna since 2010. She advises high-net-worth individuals on tax aspects relating to relocation, wealth management, foundations, trusts and estate planning. Eva also regularly advises on finance transactions and financial instruments. Claudia Popescu joins Wolf Theiss as a partner in the Corporate/M&A team in Bucharest, effective 15 October 2025. With over twenty years of experience in M&A and private equity, Claudia has advised on complex cross-border transactions across multiple sectors including technology, energy, automotive and healthcare. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, she worked for over 18 years at CMS Cameron McKenna in Romania. "This is an incredibly exciting chapter in my career.
