Deportations in Poland under dual occupation

September 1 marks the 86th anniversary of Germany's attack on Poland and the start of World War II. Just a very short time later, Poland was also invaded by the Red Army. Researchers at the University of Klagenfurt analyzed the massive acts of violence during the dual German and Soviet occupations of the country. Their findings partly contradict common ideas about the mass resettlements of that time.
