Wolf Theiss opens a new office in Brussels: Positioning the firm at the heart of the European Union
Vienna, 16 October 2024 – Wolf Theiss is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office in Brussels, strategically positioned at the heart of the European Union.
The Brussels office will serve as a hub for our clients in particular from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (CEE/SEE), supporting their compliance with European regulations. By establishing a presence in Brussels, Wolf Theiss enhances its ability to connect clients directly to the core of EU operations while supporting partner firms in navigating regulatory matters across the CEE/SEE region.
With over 390 lawyers across 13 countries, Wolf Theiss has long been recognised as a leader in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The Brussels office supports this focus, acting as a gateway to key EU institutions and helping drive growth in the entire region. The new office also strengthens collaboration with partner firms on CEE/SEE matters.
"Our core asset is our geography. Being at the heart of Europe, opening an office in Brussels represents a natural progression for Wolf Theiss," — Andrea Gritsch, Managing Partner.
The new location positions Wolf Theiss at the centre of EU decision-making and regulatory developments, allowing the firm to offer enhanced advice on competition law, mergers, FDI, state aid and compliance. The Brussels office further reinforces the firm’s relationships with partner law firms while maintaining a strategic focus on the CEE/SEE markets.
"This office solidifies our presence in Europe and our work with EU institutions and should help partner firms with CEE/SEE regulatory matters." — Guenter Bauer, Partner, Competition and Antitrust Law.
