Flying close to the Sun

While we do already know a good deal about our home star, it is the corona, the hot aura around the Sun, which raises questions. Solar physicist Astrid Veronig is investigating where the Sun's atmosphere gets its energy from and how solar storms develop. Veronig is involved in ESA's Solar Orbiter space probe, which is orbiting the Sun.
