holding

- Strategic portfolio streamlining to focus on core businesses of mobile

- Final consolidation of the 50 percent KielNET holding in Q4

Büdelsdorf, 25 September 2012 - freenet AG takes another step in its strategic
portfolio streamlining by selling its 50-percent stake in KielNET GmbH

Pending approval by the antitrust authorities, freenet AG has sold its
50-percent shareholding in KielNET GmbH to Versatel Holding GmbH. Further to
this transaction, the public utilities company Stadtwerke Kiel is also disposing
of its 50-percent holding in the regional telecommunications service provider
and carrier.
KielNET's range of products and services encompasses telephony, internet,
broadband, leased line, hosted PBX and project business. The company, founded in
1996, is a former holding of mobilcom AG.
