Mrs. Christiane Weispfenning, Germany, has informed us according to Article 21,
Section 1 of the WpHG that her share of voting rights in SMT Scharf AG, Hamm,
Germany, has exceeded the threshold of 3% on September 5, 2011 and has amounted
to 3.02% (126,777 voting rights) on that day. Of these, 2.90% (121,677 voting
rights) are attributed to Mrs. Weispfenning according to Article 22, Section 1,
Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG.
