GENEVA, June 6, 2011 -- Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE / EURONEXT
PARIS / SIX: WFT) today informs its shareholders that a Current Report on
Form 8-K has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
("SEC"). The Form 8-K discloses that on June 6, 2011, Weatherford entered
into a registration rights agreement through which it agreed to register with
the SEC 1,466,634 shares issued in a non-material acquisition in order to
facilitate the resale of the shares by the recipients thereof. A prospectus
supplement to Weatherford's registration statement on Form S-3 was also filed
on June 6, 2011 to register the shares issued in connection with this
acquisition.
