Blaubeuren (euro adhoc) - August 11, 2010 - The Management Board of centrotherm
photovoltaics
AG has appointed Dr. Frank Stubhan (45) as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of
centrotherm photovoltaics AG's Thin Film Module division with effect as of
September 1, 2010. This step allows the technology and equipment provider to
prepare itself for the continued growth of the future-oriented thin film
market. Along with Dr. Stubhan, the management team of the Thin Film Module
division will also consist of Christian Frick as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
To date, Mr. Frick has been active as Finance Director at the Thin Film Module
division.
For the last three years, Dr. Stubhan has held the position of managing
director and Chief Operations Officer (COO) at the centrotherm SiTec GmbH
subsidiary, which offers fully integrated production systems for the
manufacturing of silicon, ingots (silicon blocks) and wafers on a one-stop shop
basis. He organized the commissioning of three silicon factories during this
period. Dr. Stubhan had previously spent eight years with various high-tech
companies as managing director in the technology area. Dr. Stubhan, who earned
his doctorate from Ulm University, also has five years' experience of China
where he founded a further two companies.
He has already worked on several thin film procedures during his career. "I
would like to become involved in the photovoltaic technology of the future,"
was how Dr. Stubhan, who was born in Ehingen in Swabia, explains his career
path switch. "With Dr. Stubhan we have recruited a professional who is
qualified to address one of the most exciting topics of the coming years. Thin
film technology for solar modules offers enormous potential, and will be a
market of the future where we can position ourselves even more strongly as
pioneering thought leaders and pace setters within the solar sector," as Robert
