EANS-News: Management Board member Professor Winter switches to freelance consulting for CompuGROUP

Koblenz (euro adhoc) - Chairman of the Management Board of CompuGROUP, Frank
Gotthardt, today reported that - with effect from 30 April - Professor Dr. med.
Stefan F. Winter will be switching from his current role as Management Board
member to conduct freelance consulting activity for the company, due to personal
realignment in the area of international healthcare.

The doctor, scientist, former State secretary and WHO adviser, who has been
involved with the company as a Management Board member since 2008, has given a
major impetus to the global positioning of CompuGROUP and the medical focus of
the Medical Information Technology (MIT) company. Prof. Winter and his
expertise will continue to be available to the globally operating MIT market
leader in the future. "I am delighted that we will be able to continue to
address strategic issues and challenges for global health systems with
Professor Winter", said company founder and Group CEO Frank Gotthardt.

In his time as Board director, Professor Winter has made particular
contributions in the increasingly important area of Medical Decision Support
(MDSS), in addition to medical e-learning, the modern form of medical knowledge
transfer. "Medicine in the future is inconceivable without intelligent use of
Medical Information Technologies. The implementation of such medical IT
infrastructures, adapted to the individual needs of global health systems, is
one of the core tasks of public health policy and medical research", says
Professor Winter.

In the future Professor Winter, who was manager of the health department of the
Federal Ministry of Health from 2001 to 2005, and adviser to the World Health
Organization from 2000 to 2008, intends to concern himself increasingly with
social, medical and scientific issues in international health policy, alongside
his consulting activity for CompuGROUP.
