Hamburg (euro adhoc) - SinnerSchrader ended the 2008/2009 financial year
(September 2008 to August 2009) with a good fourth quarter. Based on the
preliminary, unaudited figures from the Annual Financial Statements,
SinnerSchrader achieved gross revenues of around EUR 6.7 million and an
operating result (EBITA) before starting losses and costs from the portfolio
expansion of around EUR 0.9 million in the last quarter of the financial year.
For the 2008/2009 financial year as a whole, the gross revenues will probably
amount to EUR 27.5 million with an EBITA before expansion costs of between EUR
2.3 and 2.4 million. This means SinnerSchrader was able to increase its revenues
by around 14 per cent and slightly increase its EBITA before expansion costs
compared to the previous year despite the considerably difficult conditions
brought about by the global economic crisis.
Convinced that there are still good opportunities for growth in interactive
services, SinnerSchrader invested in the expansion of its own service portfolio
during the financial year. SinnerSchrader established a new e-Commerce
Outsourcing business division and founded next commerce GmbH in May 2009. next
commerce will handle the set-up and development of online sales for established
companies in return for revenue-based compensation. The first shop run by next
commerce for the fashion label Olsen went live today at olsenfashion.com.
SinnerSchrader also took over newtention technologies GmbH in May 2009. Under
the n7 brand, newtention develops and markets leading ad serving technology
which forms the basis for the profile-based control of online advertising
campaigns and is thus a fundamental technology for the performance marketing
business.
The expansion of business burdened the operating result in the 2008/2009
financial year by probably around EUR 0.9 million, EUR 0.5 million of which was
incurred in the fourth quarter.
The consolidated income for 2008/2009 will probably be just over EUR 1 million,
compared to EUR 1.6 million last year. This corresponds to earnings per share of
around EUR 0.09. With a continued high dividend ratio SinnerSchrader will
probably propose a dividend of EUR 0.08 per share for the past financial year to
the Annual General Meeting in December. This amount would once again be paid
from the tax-recognised contribution account and would thus be tax-free for
those with minor holdings.
As of the balance sheet date of 31 August 2009, the liquidity reserve amounted
to EUR 8.0 million, which was EUR 1.1 million lower than the final amount at the
end of the previous financial year due to the investments made. The cash flows
from operating activities in the 2008/2009 financial year once again surpassed
EUR 2 million and will probably amount to EUR 2.2 million. At the end of August,
the SinnerSchrader Group had 279 employees, of whom 17 were trainees.
The final, audited Annual Financial Statements for 2008/2009 and the outlook for
the 2009/2010 financial year will be published on 5 November 2009. This is the
date on which SinnerSchrader will hold its annual balance sheet press conference
in Hamburg.
