Change in the Supervisory Board

Dr. Uwe-Ernst Bufe has tendered his resignation from the Supervisory Board of
K+S Aktiengesellschaft.

Underlying Dr. Bufe's decision was a desire on the part of MCC/EuroChem to
obtain a seat on the Supervisory Board of K+S Aktiengesellschaft. After
intensive discussion by the bodies, Dr. Bufe stated his readiness to tender his
resignation in order to pave the way for MCC/EuroChem to be represented on the
Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board is extremely grateful to Dr. Bufe for
taking this step.

The appropriate court of registration has appointed George Spyridon Cardona, who
is a member of the Board of Directors of OJSC EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Co,
Moscow, Russia, as successor until the next Annual General Meeting in May 2010.
The Annual General Meeting will then decide on the further appointment of Mr.
Cardona.
