number of voting rights amounts to a total of 443000000 voting rights. The
change of total voting rights is effective as of 24.08.2009.

Based on the authorization of the Annual General Meeting held on May 20, 2009
and the resolution of the Management Board on August 19, 2009 17 million
treasury shares or 3.7% of the share capital of Telekom Austria AG has been
cancelled. The number of shares has been reduced to 443 million shares, which
corresponds to a common stock of EUR 966,183,000.
