United Internet not bidding for freenet DSL

Montabaur (euro adhoc) - Montabaur, November 18, 2008. According to an article
in "Börsen-Zeitung" on November 15, 2008, the CEO of freenet AG, Mr. Eckhard
Spoerr, told the newspaper that United Internet had made an offer as part of the
process which freenet had initiated to sell its DSL business. Insofar as this
creates the impression that United Internet is still taking part in this selling
process, this is not true. In a letter to the legal representatives of freenet,
United Internet already declared in October that it had withdrawn from this
process.
