Rödental, September 11, 2008 - The supervisory board of Zapf Creation AG,
Europe's leading manufacturer of play and functional dolls, has appointed Mr.
Stephan Brune as chief executive officer with effect October 1, 2008. Brune is
primarily responsible for Corporate Development, Human Resources and Investor
and Public Relations. He worked for Saga Group, a globally operating
manufacturer and distributor of luxury goods based in Hong Kong, since 2003,
most recently in the post of Executive Vice President.

Mr. Thomas Pfau, Director of Marketing and Sales since August 28, 2006, is to
leave the company before the end of his contract at his own request. Pfau will
depart on friendly terms at a time yet to be determined in order to take up a
new professional challenge outside of the toy industry. The supervisory board
thanks Mr. Pfau for the successful work he has done for the good of the company.
