ION Boston Management Enters into Proton Therapy Consulting / Arrangements with Massachusetts General Hospital Affiliate

Dusseldorf (OTS) - ION Boston Management GmbH, which is 50%-owned
by Alvarez &
Marsal Development LLC and Dr. Heinz-Dieter Kals, has entered into a
Radiology Oncology Associates Services Agreement, as of November 1,
2006 with Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, Inc.
("MGPO"), acting on behalf of Massachusetts General Hospital, through
its Radiology Oncology Associates.

The four year agreement provides for MGPO to deliver a broad range
of proton beam therapy advisory services exclusively through Ion
Boston to those projects that are identified in the Agreement. The
initial projects so identified are located in Germany. The services
include physician and technician training, software and other
technology, finance, research and administration/management.

According to Dr. Heinz-Dieter Kals, "Proton beam therapy is an
advanced form of radio-oncology treatment, and has the advantage of
producing successful treatment outcomes, with substantially less
damage to healthy tissue and fewer side effects than conventional
forms of photon-based radio-oncology treatments."

There are presently numerous proton treatment facilities under
construction, development, or consideration at German university
medical centers, and elsewhere in the EU.
