init innovation in traffic systems AG scored in yet another key strategic move
in European business: HTM , one of the largest Dutch transportation companies,
has now opted for the introduction of a telematics system from init. Under the
recently signed contract, init will provide The Hague with a intermodal
transport control system (ITCS) for its streetcar network and equip around 50
two-way vehicles with COPILOTpc on-board computers and the touchscreen operating
unit TOUCHit.

The contract, as yet the first for init in the Netherlands, also includes the
integrated planning and data management system MOBILE-PLAN as well as the perdis
personnel dispatch software. Initially, the contract volume will aggregate close
to 2 mill. Euro, with an option of more than 2 mill. Euro for the equipment of
further vehicles.

HTM intends to use the init solution in the short term to optimize its
operations, improve the efficiency of vehicle and personnel management, and
reduce its administration costs. The services of HTM in the Dutch metropolis are
used by around 350,000 passengers each day. In addition to The Hague, HTM also
has international references as a consultant of local public transportation
systems, including Egypt, Russia, and China.

For init, this contract from the city that holds the seat of the Dutch
government will be a key pilot project reference in further tenders in the
Benelux states. After Berlin, Stockholm, Lisbon, Vienna, London, Oslo, and
Copenhagen, The Hague is now the eighth European capital/seat of government to
implement a telematics solution from init.
