freenet.de AG / Hamburg - Following mobilcom AG’s last announcement
last Friday that it is working towards amalgamating freenet.de AG,
the freenet.de AG executive board has initiated an evaluation of the
advantages and disadvantages of such an amalgamation, as well as
possible courses of action.

If, following careful review, freenet.de AG should conclude that an
amalgamation of the companies may be advantageous, the freenet
executive board will determine the exchange ratio (to be negotiated)
between the two companies’ shares not based on auditors’ opinions,
but using market- and potential-focused certified appraisals drawn up
by investment banks.
