The donation came after the PrePex device was recognized by the Tech
Awards (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jN1Jw2Pmeg) as being a
technology that benefits humanity and the company was awarded a
US$50,000 prize.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Eddy Horowitz, CEO, Circ MedTech said:
"A mobile clinic is a sustainable and cost-effective tool that
enables the healthcare system to reach men in remote areas - quickly
and efficiently. As a token of our appreciation to the Zimbabwe
national effort and to the growing partnership between Circ MedTech
and the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health, we have decided to contribute
three caravans that will serve as Mobile Clinics, offering PrePex and
other HIV prevention services to populations in the rural areas of
Zimbabwe."

Holding the PrePex device in his hand, Minister of Health and Child
Care, Dr. David Parirenyatwa said: "I would like to extend my sincere
gratitude to the Circ MedTech team for this invaluable donation to
the National Circumcision program through these three
state-of-the-art caravans. Let's continue to strive for excellence in
all the activities we are doing so that, by 2030, we can all reflect
and be proud that we made a difference in our time and turned the
tide of the HIV epidemic in this country."

Zimbabwe launched its national Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision
program using PrePex (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_01ttIhUBo)
(known in Zimbabwe as "The Ring") in January 2015, targeting 1.3
Million circumcisions; since the 2009 start of its efforts, over
732,472 men have been circumcised.

As an effective tool to reduce the incidence of HIV, UNAIDS has set a
goal of reaching 27 Million male circumcisions, in 14 African
priority countries, by 2021. The Campaign is backed by the US
Government (PEPFAR), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World
Health Organization, the World Bank, and global NGOs.
