Bank Sarasin regrets to announce the death of Hubertus Heemskerk, Vice-Chairman
of its Board of Directors. He passed away on Tuesday, 22 March 2011 following a
brief illness.

On behalf of Bank Sarasin the Chairman of the Board of Directors Christoph
Ammann expressed his deepest sympathies to his family. "The loss of our esteemed
colleague and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors comes as a terrible
shock," said a stunned Christoph Ammann. "Our thoughts are with the family at
this sad time. We will remember his exceptional personality as a banker whose
astute vision always enabled him to grasp the wider picture."
