At a press briefing on 20 April 2010, KA Finanz AG will disclose its preliminary
results for the year 2009, which show a loss according to Austrian GAAP of EUR
267 million.

In its ad-hoc notification of 17 November 2009, KA Finanz AG had already
communicated that coupon payments on the supplementary capital and participation
capital remaining with KA Finanz AG would presumably not be possible for a
foreseeable period. Moreover, attention had already been drawn to the
loss-sharing of participation capital of KA Finanz AG on the basis of the
accounting rules under the New Austrian Company Code in the ad-hoc notification
of 26 August 2009.

Besides the participation capital, the value of the supplementary capital issues
specified below is materially impaired on account of the losses incurred to date
(including 2009) and the loss-sharing nature of supplementary capital stipulated
by the law. From today´s point of view, the net loss incurred is not expected to
be offset by future profits.

Moreover, the claim for repayment from the hybrid capital issued by
Kommunalkredit Capital One Ltd. (Jersey) is linked to the value of the
supplementary capital of KA Finanz AG held by the issuer on a pro-rata basis in
the amount of 75.83% of the nominal value.
