The Board of Directors of Precious Woods has appointed Joachim Kaufmann as the
new CEO of the Precious Woods Group. He will assume this responsibility on 1
June 2010 after a brief induction period. "Because of the in-depth selection
procedure we are confident that we have found the most suitable candidate for
this extremely interesting and challenging role", explained Chairman of the
Board of Directors and acting CEO Ernst A.
Brugger.

His professional career to date most recently led Joachim Kaufmann to the role
of CEO of the Feintool Group in Lyss. Before that he occupied various group
management positions with Adval Tech and Feintool. Herr Kaufmann also has many
years' management experience with Sulzer in Brazil. His comprehensive
industrial, operational and financial experience in international markets will
strengthen the management of the Precious Woods Group and make a significant
contribution to the further development of the company.
