18.November - "Europäischer Antibiotika-Tag"

Wien (OTS) - Europaweit wird am 18. November 2009 bereits zum
zweiten Mal der "Antibiotikatag" (EAAD, European Antibiotic Awareness
Day)veranstaltet werden. Der Europäische Antibiotikatag ist eine
Initiative des ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and
Control) in Zusammenarbeit von Institutionen der EU und deren
Mitgliedsstaaten, der Weltgesundheitsorganisation und vielen anderen
wichtigen Organisationen wie der ESCMID (European Society of Clinical
Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) und der CPME (Standing
Committee of European Doctors). Für Österreich zeichnet das
"Nationale Referenzzentrum für nosokomiale Infektionen und
Antibiotikaresistenz" unter der Leitung von Univ.-Prof. Dr. Helmut
Mittermayer verantwortlich. Der "Antibiotikatag" hat die
Bewusstseinsbildung hinsichtlich eines sinnvollen Gebrauchs von
Antibiotika zum Ziel.
