EANS-Adhoc: Lycos Europe N.V. announces the disposal of its shopping business Pangora

Haarlem / The Netherlands - LYCOS Europe N.V. ("LYCOS"; ISIN NL0000233195) today
announces the disposal of its shopping business Pangora ("the Transaction").

Over the past months LYCOS, together with its advisors, has evaluated available
different options for Pangora.

As a result of this review process, Pangora was sold to an affiliate of Become,
Inc. The underlying Share Purchase Agreement has been signed today. The parties
agreed that the purchase price will not be disclosed.

The transactions will close at the end of October.
