Announcement according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG (share)

1. BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., Wilmington DE, USA, informed us pursuant to
Sections 21 Paragraph 1 WpHG that their percentage holding of the voting rights
in K+S Aktiengesellschaft exceeded the threshold of 5% on 17.05.2012 and amounts
to 5.15% (9,847,538 voting shares) on that day. All of the voting rights are
attributable to BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., pursuant to Section 22 Paragraph 1
Sentence 1 No. 6 in connection with Sentence 2 WpHG.

2. BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., New York NY, USA, informed us pursuant
to Section 21 Paragraph 1 WpHG that their percentage holding of the voting
rights in K+S Aktiengesellschaft exceeded the threshold of 5% on 17.05.2012 and
amounts to 5.15% (9,847,538 voting shares) on that day. All of the voting rights
are attributable to BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., pursuant to Section 22
Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 6 in connection with Sentence 2 WpHG.
