Schwerte (euro adhoc) - Following our IR-News published on 23 November 2011,
DNick Holding plc has now received a letter from the German Cartel Office
(Bundeskartellamt) dated 23 December 2011 according to which

• the German Cartel Office has officially confirmed that the acquisition of a
majority shareholding in DNick Holding plc by Wickeder Westfalenstahl GmbH and
Lustre Beteiligungs UG had to be filed with the German Cartel Office for prior
approval,

• the arguments raised by Wickeder Westfalenstahl GmbH and Lustre Beteiligungs
UG in the course of the investigations of the relevant markets are not
sufficient to stop the proceedings and

• the German Cartel Office will send out requests for further information to
market participants in due course.

It is uncertain when the proceedings will be completed.
