Announcement according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG (share)

Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, notified Pfeiffer
Vacuum on November 11, 2010 pursuant to article 21 section 1 WpHG (?German
Securities Trading Act?) that its percentage of voting rights in our company
fell below the threshold of 20 % on November 10, 2010 and on that day amounts
to 19.37 % (equalling 1,738,053 voting rights). These 19.37 % are attributed to
Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, pursuant to article
22 section 1 sentence 1 no. 6 and article 22 section 1 sentence 2 WpHG. Of the
following shareholders the voting rights are attributed to the notifier: First
Eagle Overseas Fund and First Eagle Global Fund.

The First Eagle Investment Management, LLC, New York, USA, notified Pfeiffer
Vacuum on November 11, 2010 pursuant to article 21 section 1 WpHG (?German
Securities Trading Act?) that its percentage of voting rights in our company
fell below the threshold of 20 % on November 10, 2010 and on that day amounts
to 19.37 % (equalling 1,738,053 voting rights). These 19.37 % are attributed to
the First Eagle Investment Management, LLC, New York, USA, pursuant to article
22 section 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG. Of the following shareholders whose
percentage of voting rights in Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG respectively
exceeds 3 % the voting rights are attributed to the notifier: First Eagle
Overseas Fund and First Eagle Global Fund.
