Dresden, Germany, December 16th, 2009 - (euro adhoc) - KSW Microtec AG, one of
the world´s leading suppliers of RFID components and inlays for secure cards and
documents received the MasterCard certification for its facilities and
production process in November 2009.

Following the strategy to offer RFID components and Thinlams® for high security
applications in the field of eBanking and eGovernment, KSW Microtec further
expands its production environment compliant with the EAL5+ security standard at
its headquarters in Dresden. The company aims to receive the common criteria
certification within the next months.

The EAL5+ certification will enable KSW Microtec to offer a new generation
Thinlam® with microcontrollers for electronic Personal Identity (eID) cards and
ePassport inlays on highest security level manufactured in Germany.

Passed the American Express Security Management scheme in 2005, KSW became a
trusted partner of the card industry for delivering HF card inlays for secure
ePayment cards. The recent certification by MasterCard once again emphasises
that KSW fulfils highest requirements in terms of quality and security.

In 2010 the Visa certification will add to the high security banking standards
to provide partners and customers of KSW Microtec with an extended product
portfolio for secure RFID payment applications.
