The Supervisory Board of LYCOS Europe N.V. (ISIN NL0000233195) followed the
proposal made by the management Board and resolved to undertake a capital
repayment of approximately EUR 35,000,000.00 to be charged to the premium
reserve without changing the nominal amount.

On Mai 11, 2009, the repayment amount of each outstanding registered AA and AB
share or bearer share B of LYCOS Europe N.V. in the nominal amount of EUR 0.01
(jointly referred to as the "LYCOS Europe Shares"), which also grants an
entitlement to repayment, totalling EUR 0.1123 per LYCOS Europe Share shall be
paid to those shareholders who are registered as holders of LYCOS Europe Shares
on the evening of May 4, 2009.

The bearer shares B of LYCOS Europe N.V. in the nominal amount of EUR 0.01 each
shall be admitted for trading on the segment of the Regulated Market with
additional follow-up obligations concerning admission to the Frankfurt Stock
Exchange (Prime Standard) on May 5, 2009 as an "ex-capital repayment".

In the Netherlands capital repayment is not subject to tax.

Investors who are liable to pay tax outside the Netherlands are advised to
contact a tax consultant concerning the tax treatment of the capital repayment.
