GENEVA, March 25, 2011 -- Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE / Euronext
Paris / SIX: WFT) today informs its shareholders that a Form 8-K has been
filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). The Form 8-K
includes a disclosure that effective March 18, 2011, Mr. Doug Mills has been
appointed as Weatherford's interim principal accounting officer. Weatherford
is conducting an executive search for permanent candidates for this position,
who will be considered along with internal candidates. Mr. Mills, age 36, has
served in various positions in Weatherford's accounting group for eight
years, the past five years as Region Controller for Europe, Sub Sahara Africa
and the FSU.
