"Stimmrechtsmitteilung

We hereby give notice, pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 of the WpHG, that on
15th April 2008 our voting interest in Salzgitter AG increased above the
threshold of 3 % and now amounts to 1,916,711 voting rights (3.03 %).

All of these voting rights (1,916,711 voting rights) are attributable to us in
accordance with sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 of the WpHG."
