Wien (OTS) - Computational models of cognition usually focus on goal
directed problem solving, representations and learning. But human
cognition is not just concerned with reaching goals: humans are
goal-finding systems, too. What mechanisms can give rise to the
multitude of different behaviors and trajectories of a mind?
Universally applicable intelligence is closely tied to criteria for
universal goal-identification and decision making. Let us discuss
some of the requirements for a minimal solution to the problem of
universal motivation.
