SYNAXON AG announces first half-year 2008 results

SYNAXON AG returned a profit of Euro 770 thousand (previous year: Euro 930
thousand) in the first half-year of 2008. Earnings per share amounted to Euro
0.22 (previous year: Euro 0.26). Benefiting from a lower tax burden of 30.3%
(previous year: 46.2%), the company reported earnings before taxes and minority
interests of Euro 1,117 thousand (previous year: Euro 1,798 thousand). The
consolidated turnover was particularly reduced by a decline in the income tied
to the purchasing volume to Euro 7,423 thousand (previous year: Euro 7,902
thousand).
Although sales figures in the German IT market have gone up, trade remains
exposed to a further decline of average prices. First half-year results are in
line with planning for the fiscal year 2008, which forecasts an income before
taxes of at least Euro 2.5 million.
