Karlsruhe / San Francisco (euro adhoc) - 5 July 2007 - asknet, Inc., a
subsidiary of asknet AG (ISIN: DE0005173306) which focuses on outsourcing
solutions for global software distribution via the Internet, has appointed a new
president. With effect of 3 July 2007, Bob Lamvik took over the management of
the US branch of the eDistribution specialist and assumed an important role in
implementing the growth plans of asknet AG.

Bob Lamvik has 30 years of marketing experience in the software and technology
sectors, during which he also held executive positions with Advanced Micro
Devices (AMD), Sun Microsystems, The Santa Cruz Operation and Okidata
Corporation. Most recently he was responsible for the worldwide marketing
activities of Embarcadero Technologies, a leading provider of strategic data
management solutions, as its Vice President.

At asknet AG, Bob Lamvik will be in charge of the North America business and
focus on winning new software clients in the USA and Canada. He reports directly
to asknet CEO Gerhard Rumpff.
