Remote Delivery Group Medify International Springboards Into European Healthcare
Toronto (ots/PRNewswire) - Remote technology company Medify
International announced today that it is building on its UK
collaboration with Oracle, the world's largest enterprise software
company, and expanding across Europe.
Following the success of its collaborative approach with Oracle in
delivering a tried and tested system for remote access to patient
notes for the NHS in the UK, the company is now working with
Oracle's European operations through its overseas arm Medify
International.
Commenting on the announcement, Jeremy Nettle, EMEA Business
Development Director for Healthcare at Oracle, said: "Working closely
with Medify in the UK we have successfully delivered remote access
to patient notes for GPs in the NHS. This is new and exciting
technology and we see remote access as an important and innovative
way of supporting our clients with a broader range of services. This
is an important opportunity for both organisations to bring about
patient benefits through the use of new, emerging technology across
Europe, and potentially on a wider scale."
Jonathan Bryant, Executive Chairman of Medify International, said:
"I am absolutely delighted that Oracle believes not only in the
technology but also the benefits of our teamwork. Over the past 18
months we have worked closely together to test and prove the remote
delivery system in one of the most complex and demanding healthcare
systems in the world, namely the NHS. I am confident that we will
make strong and swift headway across Europe."
In Italy, Medify operates through CM Isitel, and Oracle will work
with this group to deliver remote patient note access to Italy's
national health service.
