SW Umwelttechnik, which has sites in Klagenfurt, Sierning and Lambach, is a
leading manufacturer of separation, rainwater recycling and surface water
protection systems.
SW Umwelttechnik Stoiser & Wolschner AG is being transformed into a pure holding
company spinning off these three operations.

Alpha Umwelttechnik GmbH is the market leader in Carinthia for pipes and
manholes, and is also a major producer for tanks for environmental applications.

Lienz based Betonwerk Nageler GmbH & Co KG is a leading manufacturer of
separators and infrastructure products such as bridges, precast structural
elements and floor systems.

With effect from 1 July 2005 these three companies have been merged to form SW
Umwelttechnik Österreich GmbH, creating one of the main suppliers of
environmental technology in Austria.

The innovative Maishofen / Salzburg based Betonwerk Rieder GmbH is the leading
manufacturer of infrastructural products like noise barriers and safety lanes.
Participating in companies in Germany and Austria Betonwerk Rieder GmbH will -
as long term partner of SW - increase the capital into SW Umwelttechnik
Österreich GmbH.
This step will simplify the group’s organisational structures and processes, and
enable the businesses concerned to pool their marketing resources.
The merger has already enabled them to streamline their product ranges and
optimise capacity utilisation at the various factories.

The new company, with its five production sites, will be in a position to expand
its market presence in Austria, and will also be aiming to step up efforts to
develop the North Italian and Slovenian markets.
The reorganisation has been implemented during the past few months, meaning that
customers will begin benefiting from the new structures in place at SW
Umwelttechnik Österreich GmbH from today.
