(Luxemburg, Luxemburg) on 5 October 2009 fell below the threshold of 20% of the voting rights in Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) and on that day held 16.92% (42,845,217 voting rights; calculated on the basis of total voting rights of 253,226,080). All of these voting rights are attributed to SGG S.A. pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG. The chain of the companies controlled by SGG S.A. (Luxemburg, Luxemburg) is: - Solidas 2 S.A. (Luxemburg, Luxemburg) - Solidas 3 S.A. (Luxemburg, Luxemburg).

2. Furthermore, notification was given according to section 21 para. 1 WpHG that Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. S.C.A. (Luxemburg, Luxemburg) on 5 October 2009 fell below the threshold of 20% of the voting rights in Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) and on that day held 16.92% (42,845,217 voting rights; calculated on the basis of total voting rights of 253,226,080). II. Falling below the threshold of 15%

(Luxemburg, Luxemburg) on 7 October 2009 fell below the threshold of 15% of the voting rights in Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) and on that day held 13.60% (34,445,217 voting rights; calculated on the basis of total voting rights of 253,226,080). All of these voting rights are attributed to SGG S.A. pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG. The chain of the companies controlled by SGG S.A. (Luxemburg, Luxemburg) is: - Solidas 2 S.A. (Luxemburg, Luxemburg) - Solidas 3 S.A. (Luxemburg, Luxemburg).
