On 12 June 2009, ESAS Holding A.S., Maslak/Istanbul, Turkey has informed us that
its voting rights in Air Berlin PLC, United Kingdom, ISIN: GB00B128C026, WKN:
AB1000 have exceeded the limits of 14%, 15%, 16%, 17% and 18% of the voting
rights on 9 June 2009 due to the acquisition of voting rights and as of this
